Achieving Happiness through Meditation

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

There is a simple way to achieve happiness. The means is to simply be happy. You are most likely wondering right now, how do I get to be happy?” “Things just don’t work like that, it doesn’t take into consideration the times that I am wretchedly unhappy because of problems or mishaps that arise in my day to day life, not to mention the tragedies.” At this stage I have to halt and meditate. Meditation can be performed in many different ways, just find the one that works best for your purposes.

Being happy more often than you have been is an extremely difficult task to accomplish-not in the doing of it once you know how and then in keeping conscious of what you have learned. Yet, I still say that with meditation it can be accomplished. The path that you have chose that brought you to your current situation was not a few days or months in the making, but a long and arduous path that has spanned through many years.

In reality it has taken you as long as you have been alive to become how you are today. It has also taken you that long to gain what you have achieved, to acquire, and to land at your current condition. By taking the time to meditate and contemplate who you are, and whether what you have in your life is truly what you want, If you are 100% satisfied with the way your life is going, congratulations-continue to do what you have been doing and you will get more of what you already have in your life.

But if who you are, what you have, and your present situation are below what you want or perhaps varies from what you long for, you have to start meditating about some basic alterations you will need to make in your life. Failure to make those alterations will find you continuing to seek the things you really would like in your life as the years fly past.

Because some of what you are reading will seem impossible, ridiculous, or to you maybe even foolish and it may in the beginning offend you, causing you to ridicule what you are reading and maybe even cause you to reject what you have read. I really must suggest to you that before you may reject how meditation can assist you through your life; ask yourself whether or not you want it to be real-then for your benefit please give yourself the chance to see how well it can work for you.

In this day and age with all the numerous issues we have to deal with in our lives it is very hard to stay on a positive level and be happy all the time, But just by taking a few minutes a day just meditating by yourself will help you to put things in perspective where instead of being unhappy about the circumstances you are in, you can find a way to find the happiness in being unhappy.

Are You Taking Action with the Law of Attraction?

Saturday, August 9th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

When you start out working with the Law of Attraction more proactively, you may question whether you have to take physical action as well as your mental and emotional exercises. The answer to this will vary depending upon who you ask.

There are people who claim that no action is needed; just directing the right frequency of thought and emotion toward a much wanted target is enough. Then there are those who think that action is always required, because action is the vehicle through which all desires are manifested.

In my experience, it can undoubtedly work either way. Depending on the situation, you might possibly find yourself needing to take certain measures toward your goals.

Here is an uncomplicated process to help you know for sure:

Take care of the intimate work first. Focus on getting your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and expectations into complete alignment with what you want. Don’t worry about “how” it’s going to happen, just focus on exerting the right frequency of energy to attract it. You can do this by meditating, imagining, establishing, and making a vision board, and so on.

Completely let go. Once you are in alignment with your yearnings, turn it over to the cosmos. Don’t fret about whether it will arrive, or put yourself in a panic trying to come up with a plan. Take a step back from it and let it build for a little while. The amount of time is up to you, but I recommend no less than a week or two.

Tune into your sixth-sense. During this release period, turn your attention inward frequently. Tune into your intuition and ask if there is anything you can do to bring this yearning into your life. You may or may not obtain any insights about it. If you do get a hunch or nudge to do something specific, by all means do it. If not, constantly keep on the lookout for any opportunities that might show up later. Don’t try to force or speed the process along, because you’ll probably end up causing more interruptions. These things have a way of arriving at exactly the right time, regardless of how we try to mess it up!

The truth is there is no right way or wrong way to use the Law of Attraction. Interestingly, the way it works often seems to correspond with your beliefs.

If you think you have to take action to attract your desires, guess what? You’ll probably have to take some kind of action. As well, if you think that you do not necessarily have to take action, the universe will find a way to present you with your desires without any extra exertion on your part.

However, there are occasions when you will be prompted to take action even if you initially didn’t believe you’d have to do so. When this happens, simply follow where your heart leads. The actions you are advised to take will ALWAYS be in your best interest, and they’ll typically be quite enjoyable! Discover how to trust your intuition for assistance anytime you want to attract something, and you will be shown the way to get it as fast and easily as possible - whatever that may involve.

How to Adapt To Change By Meditation

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

Adjusting to any kind of change in your life can be very stressful. The one thing I have realized is when it comes to any kind of change is to keep it on an optimistic level. To do that I stay calm by meditating and keep it all in focus. I was discussing with a friend about how I was very hesitant about a change I would soon have to make in my life. My friend told me that almost over twenty years ago she had bought a brand new car and it was parked in an alley next to her house.

She exited her house just at that moment she saw an old VW bus scrape the front fender of her car. As she continued to tell me what occurred she informed me she was trying to stay calm and realized she had to meditate and get centered on the situation. She went on to tell me that the driver stepped out of his car, threw his hat on the ground, and then hung his head, holding it in his hands. She realized that he clearly didn’t have the money to pay for the damage to her car and he almost started to cry.

My friend still meditating to keep things in perspective, walked up to the man and you could tell he was very anxious and expected her to say something like: What a jerk, Are you blind, or just something so harsh that he would just feel terrible. As she walked up to the man she simply said don’t worry about the scrape and to have a nice day. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He began to cry tears of relief and hugged my friend. He then went to his wife who was in the car curious about what they were going to do and he hugged his wife and introduced his wife to my friend.

As they were chatting my friend informed them how she used meditation to keep as relaxed as possible because she had short fuse in the past that presented her with a lot of problems. The couple and my friend became the best of friends. Here it is 20 years later and the man has since passed away and his wife is in a home for the elderly my friend still visits the woman weekly and still talks about the day they had met.

Using meditation will certainly help you think about the situation you are in and to not act on impulse, but to deal with whatever predicament it is you are in so you will behave properly. After my friend and I talked I considered how I could adapt to the transformation I would have to make by positive thinking and could turn a bad situation into something that will have a very special significance in my life. After our talk I went home and began using meditation to relax myself and now I feel better about me and my life.
