Obesity has become a worldwide health hazard and majority of people, male and female, of every age carry extra weight on their bodies, which not only develop physical disorders but also mental ailments, especially in women. Yoga has come to the rescue for obese persons.

Some exercises that are highly beneficial for reduction of fat from stomach are covered in yoga. Remember, you should not attempt any of these on your own unless you have been shown and guided by a certified yoga master or guru.

Even under-12s can be prescribed anti-obesity drugs - despite the medication only being licensed for adults - if the problem is bad enough.

How to take care to avoid obesity O Take 10 to 12 glasses of fresh water in 24 hours. O Never eat more than 85% of your capacity at any time. Drink water after an hour of eating meal.

Besides Yoga there are alternative methods of treating obesity. Some of the non conventional methods of avoiding weight gain is the habit of inducing vomiting after each meal, taking laxatives on a regular basis, utilizing colon cleansing methods or enemas, steam baths, mud packs on the body, various types of massage, drinking urine (your own) and so on. While this may not sound so scientific, there are many people who swear that these techniques work- each to his own.

Yoga with its mystical enigma and allure proves to be a rather difficult subject to discuss in today’s modern world. Globalization seems to have a devastating impact on this ancient concept. The ancient art of yoga has been represented as a simple concept to help people gain a better understanding of the overall philosophy.

To be on the safe side, it is good to gain a thorough understanding of a particular subject before you begin to speak of it from an expert’s viewpoint. It becomes a distorted view when westerners perceive yoga as a physical activity. The need for simplification has diminished the wisdom of true yoga into a superficial speech that fails to recognize the real purpose and meaning of this wonderful philosophy.

In reality, yoga practice is a very sacred journey that has roots buried deep within the scriptures of an ancient Holy book. In India, yoga is considered a very spiritual experience that has a physical aspect to it. Most westerners would describe yoga as a physical practice. Most westerners are aware of the strange symbols associated with yoga practice, but often they are misunderstood. It became a popular sport in the west. The allure of yoga as an effective way to gain inner peace and balance has beckoned many to embrace this activity as well. It also does a good job attracting those who wish to obtain inner peace and balance in the midst of the hectic modern lifestyle.

This perception is often strengthened by the various claims made by the so called yoga masters. Fatal errors have been detected in the practice of yoga outside of India, showing the level of misunderstanding among the western practitioners. A closer look revealed that these errors were caused by the cultural influence of each race.

In order to truly understand this concept moments of quiet, peaceful times are necessary to contemplate on this philosophy. Meditation is an integral part of the practice, the westerners with their ever busy lifestyles certainly do not posses time for such luxuries.

Sometimes, the most important part of this practice is neglected, for instance the essential meditation. Westerners have different goals and priorities, and the insatiable desire to accumulate massive amounts of wealth certainly has no place in the system of values among the Hindus. It is impossible to attain true wisdom that is aligned with the real philosophy of yoga in this state of mind.

One needs to possess both time and patience to fully reap the rewards of a successful meditative session. Obviously, the people from the west have no endurance to fulfill such demands. Obsessed with the need to accumulate as much wealth as possible, therefore the thought of having to spend time in such sessions would be considered a mere waste of precious time.

Here, yoga as been practiced by those who desire to look good and stay in style. There are plenty of materials promoting it as a form of sports; you can practice yoga anywhere and anytime you want. There are famous people who embraced this practice and become fake gurus and still they have enough support from their followers. These followers have become the pillars supporting the growth of this false and wrong philosophy.
